What is Halal?

Conditions for Halal food and drink:

Here are the parameters that make it clear that what food and drinks are halal in Islam and acceptable for Muslims.

  1. Food and drink should not include anything that is not permissible.

  2. It should not get prepared, contaminated, or processed with anything Haram in it.

  3. It should not get processed, stored, or transported with the use of any facility contaminated by the haram thing.

  4. The food or drink should not contain any kind of unclean material.

  5. The item should be safe for humans like it should be non-poisonous, non-intoxicating, and non-hazardous.

  6. For meat, the animal should get slaughtered following all the Islamic laws and rules.

All food and drinks are permissible except for those that are especially forbidden in the Quran. Those are:

  • The carnivores with teeth like tigers, cats, lions

  • Any animal is Haram if died before getting slaughtered following Islamic rules.
